We are excited to announce that today you can begin to enjoy the comprehensive, user-friendly, and innovative portal that includes the ability to pay your utility bills with a credit or debit card, or directly through your checking or savings bank account. This portal also acts as our new public alert system where we will be able to send notifications to residents for various reasons! Some of these include water main breaks or snow emergencies.

In existence for over 135 years, Sherburn prides itself on the quality of life it offers it's residence and the welcoming environment it poses for those visiting or just passing through.

With a population of 1137, Sherburn is located in southern Minnesota at the junction of Interstate 90 and State Highway 4, just south of Fox Lake.  We are within 20 miles of the following larger communities: Fairmont, Jackson, St. James, and Estherville, Iowa.  We are a Plan A Statutory City, and have been a municipal corporation since 1879.  The rich farm country has many recreational activities to enjoy year round.  Please, come explore this site and our community.

Notification of Accessibility of the Service Line Materials Inventory

City of Sherburn

The City of Sherburn has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at (507) 432-0967. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections.

As of October 16, 2024, our inventory contains 1 lead, 0 galvanized requiring replacement, 206 unknown material, and 369 non-lead service lines.
